📣 May 1 = General Strike ⛓️
Welcome to the first ever issue of The Work Reform Report!
This independent newsletter focuses on 3 things:
- Organizing, supporting, and preparing workers to fight for higher wages, better housing, and universal healthcare.
- News and information the billionaire-owned media doesn’t want you to know.
- Not wasting your time.
General Strike News: On May 1st, we strike!
The UAW has called for a general strike on May 1, 2028.
- Why did the UAW pick May 1? Because the last time American labor started focusing on May 1 as a strike date, there was a full-blown general strike within a few years.
- But May 2028 is too far away! That's why we're starting this year, on May 1 2025. Let's get this snowball rolling!
- I can’t strike on May 1. Sure you can! There are a million ways to support a strike, even if you still go to work—get some ideas here for QUIET STRIKING.
You can lead the charge in your community:
- How to find and get involved with other local workers
- How to prepare for a strike: Start breaking your reliance on the system that abuses you
- Remember: Unions are democracy in action.
Together, we can demand better.
Working Class News of Note
- Wage theft is the most common property crime in America because it carries no criminal penalties!
- Congrats to Whole Foods Workers United! 75 Employees voting to Unionize scared Bezos so bad he’s trying to gut the entire National Labor Relations Board.
- Why does Ronald McDonald beats his children? Corporate America is addicted to child abuse profiteering.
- Luigi Mangione remains in prison. Corporate media suppresses his story. Read his Manifesto in Full: "Elementary social engineering, Basic CAD, A lot of patience"
- Oligarchy in Action: America’s largest police force is run by a billionaire nepo baby.
- Why are groceries so expensive? Oligopolies that the government refuses to break are stealing more from American pocketbooks and mouths every year.
- Americans are drowning in debt and need a massive debt cancellation. Is it time for a debt jubilee?. Read Work Reform's first official comic!
Thank you
Well, that’s it for this week!
Thank you to the thousands of people who signed up for this inaugural issue of The Work Reform Report. Another special thank you to the several dozen people who have tapped the $27 donate button — we have used that money to substantially beef up operations (for example, sending this newsletter cost money). Every dollar you gave is being used to make this movement stronger, louder, and more effective. We are working people just like you, and we know that this is, quite literally, a fight for our lives. We won’t let you down.
Thousands of you are ready for a general strike. MAY 1 is the date history has chosen, and that's where we're getting started. However, this is just the beginning of a long campaign to make it affordable, secure and, hell, enjoyable to be a worker in America again. There will be lulls, then moments of extreme action. We will help you be informed, prepared, and engaged. We have much more planned. Stay tuned. Stay ready.
TIME TO REMIND GREEDY BOSSES...
See you again REAL SOON!
